The last year I took involved tutoring deaf children in elementary school. After high school I worked in a group home where one of the residents. was both deaf and blind. I worked one on one with this resident for 5 1/2 years. During this time I have also nannied and taught the kids I cared for , along with their parents, ASL. My teaching style is laid back and very interactive. ASL is a social and visual language and should be taught as such.

I start with a couple simple video games that teach the basics, and then we follow our imaginations from there. The best project ideas come from a kid's mind and it can take us in any direction. I don't follow a set lesson plan, but have plenty of projects up my sleeve if they're needed. I am a few years out of high school, and I've taken several college classes. My AP knowledge spans almost every subject. I can help with almost all high school level classes and below. The various sciences are probably my best subjects, however my knowledge of Biology is fairly limited. I have tutored a few High School Freshman before in a program called "Senior Mentoring" I have also helped out a few family friends to get the grade to graduate.
