Experience Summary
I learned CAD as a student studying Interior Design in the late 90's ,and have used this program for a little more than a decade in my career, in order to document the built environment and propose design solutions.While running my own Interior Design studio four years ago, I was also teaching part time at two of the colleges in Sacramento where they had Interior Design programs.
CAD classes included learning the basic commands for drawing and editing,dimensioning, setting up a template and layers and plotting finished work.
Classes also included plan view (2D)and elevation drawings,adding text to drawings and title block layouts. Classes did not include 3D.
Creating blocks can also be taught,for block libraries etc.
I have also taught CAD at the college level for Kaplan College and Art Institutes in Sacramento.
