Through my extensive coursework and research and practical application in the classroom, I found quite quickly that there are several different learning styles. The most important element of achieving success in school is self confidence. The way I help build that in children is by being extremely positive, supportive, and full of praise. My internship experience was teaching Language Arts in a middle school in Chicago, IL. Upon moving to Fernandina Beach, I became a teacher for Catapult Learning in Jacksonville. During this time, I provided supplemental Reading/Math instruction to students in the first through sixth grades whose test scores were below grade level. I love children and watching their eyes light up when understanding a certain subject brings joy to my heart.
