Honestly, not sure how to answer this. I think the entire benefit of working with a private tutor is that the tutor is able to change and adapt to complement the student. I wouldn't think to walk into a room and presume to know where the student is struggling or how best to help him. What I do consistently is to focus on basics and use colors, organization and logic to solve problems. Too often, people memorize the steps without understanding where they come from, this leaves them high and dry if theres any chance of test anxiety or a "curveball" question. I am a parent and I understand that educating our children is a priority. Although challenging, I particularly enjoy working with children, teaching them as well as learning from them. I believe that what makes me a good teacher is my ability to listen, understand a child's outlook on things and my constant focus on challenging traditional teaching styles. I am a believer in visualizing the everyday subject, and I always give memorable examples related to our learning material. Also, I understand that every child's capabilities are different and it is only a matter of adapting to their level of understanding and providing a constructive approach. I like to involve all students in classroom activities, delegate tasks and reward good results. I also share personal experiences from my academic and professional career. At the end of the day, knowing that I made a difference in someone's

I am a very understanding and considerate person and my teaching style reflects that. I have been counseling a week-long church camp in southern California for the past 5 years now and I absolutely love doing it. The ages are 9-12 and I look forward to it every year. I have also worked with older children when I worked at the Boy's and Girl's Club. I definitely believe a successful tutor can really change the life of a young adult by stressing the importance of education. Sometimes all it takes is hearing it from a different person in a different perspective. I am a recent graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno. I earned my BS in Finance through the College of Business Administration which enabled me to gain experience in different subjects such as math, economics, accounting, information systems, and marketing. I also used to tutor other, younger students when I was in high school.

I have knowledge of the various impedements to learning and am able to help a student overcome them. I believe all children can learn, you just need to be patient and understanding. I spent 3 years subsituting in the Sacramento USD system while I went to school for my credentials. I then taught in a pull-out RSP program in 4th and 5th grade ,1/2 time and a high school push-out RSP program the rest of the day. I have also taught 3rd grade. In the past I spent 3 years teaching driving and I have been a sales trainer. I home-schooled my daughter, and she is in college now with a 3.oo gpa.

I love teaching and working with all children. I believe all children can learn, but each in different ways. Having spent a lifetime in the business world, I have a more practical, down to earth, hands on approach to learning. Learning by doing is a Boy Scout approach to learning. As a Boy Scout Leader for many years, I recognized this teaching method, because this is how I learn. I believe all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. A few good educators can make a world of difference in a child's education. I’m a graduate of Oregon State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business and Marketing Education. I spent most of my working career in business, management and sales. 2009, I returned to my first love, the classroom. I’m currently a substitute teacher in the Washoe County School District, ACE

I began tutoring my freshman year of college. I participated in a Sparks High School program designed to assist and motivate at risk students to achieve their educational goals. Tutoring continued through my own educational career, as I have spent countless hours assisting fellow peers and younger students with their school work. Now as a young professional, I would like to continue to assist today’s youth. My Law degree, along with my Bachelor of Science and Associate of Arts degrees in Business Management, shows my diverse expertise in both language arts and math. In addition, I highly enjoy science and have always excelled in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Most of my life has been focused on obtaining my education and improving my educational goals. I have a deep desire to assist others in reaching their full potential. I know that everyone learns in different ways, so my teac

Experience gained is not what truly counts it's ones desire to learn through experience that's seperates oneself. Through five years in college and five years in a special education classroom i have learned many things. What i take most from ten years of experience is a mindset to never-give-up. Most day's learning in the classroom are forgetable because the student does not retain information into their long term memory. Experience has taught me to strive for continual learning, not just learning but what needs to be learned. What needs to be learned, needs to not be forgot. My teaching style is one centered around positive feelings. There is a word i learned in college by the name of rapport. In order to become successful in the classroom a positive working relationship must be established. No matter what you do in life a successful partnership must be centered around a comfortable wor

Math has always been an achievement of mine. I went to school and started out for an engineering degree, completing all the math including hard calculus. When I got to the university level I thought a business degree would be better as it is used in all types of businesses. So on top of taking hard calc, I took business calc, accounting, finance, and economics classes which all focus on math. I have no real teaching style as I have never really taught anyone. I have always helped friends out while we were in school together and I would just have to figure out at what level of knowledge they were having a hard time understanding and start to help them understand what was going on from that point on.
