BS Economics UNR (2015) - Graduated with honors, on the dean's list (3.80 + GPA)
Accounting Tutor - UNR Tutoring Center - Worked for three years from my Sophomore year through my Senior year as a tutor in the Thompson Building at UNR. Primarily tutored ACC 201 and ACC 202 but also did quite a bit of classes in the Economic Spectrum, Econometrics, Statistics and introductory level mathematics.
Teaching Style
Honestly, not sure how to answer this. I think the entire benefit of working with a private tutor is that the tutor is able to change and adapt to complement the student. I wouldn't think to walk into a room and presume to know where the student is struggling or how best to help him.
What I do consistently is to focus on basics and use colors, organization and logic to solve problems. Too often, people memorize the steps without understanding where they come from, this leaves them high and dry if theres any chance of test anxiety or a "curveball" question.
