Let me begin by talking a bit about my calling. In my philosophy of teaching paper, I recently wrote that I am ready to teach and educate students that anything is possible if they believe. Upon completing my degree in Marketing at Notre Dame and after internships in the banking and advertising agencies, I knew the corporate world was not for me. I took a position in the development office of a private high school in Philadelphia. Working there for three years, I was passionate about raising money for education, but realized I would prefer to be in a classroom rather than an administrative office. I moved to a small town in New Jersey, where I found a job teaching Math to 5th-8th graders. Teaching middle school was a challenge I embraced. I am a teacher because I enjoy helping students. I enjoy teaching and I enjoy seeing students reacting to unerstanding concepts. Over the last three years I have worked in Hillsborough County as a Middle School Science Teacher. After three years of teaching Science I had a strong desire to work with ESE and Special Needs children so I became a Sub for Hillsborough County so I could travel where need and work with various children.
