Experience Summary
Over the last three years I have worked in Hillsborough County as a Middle School Science Teacher. After three years of teaching Science I had a strong desire to work with ESE and Special Needs children so I became a Sub for Hillsborough County so I could travel where need and work with various children. Prior to teaching in FL, I taught in SC and provided reading pull out in WV. During my time in WV I worked on a dual Masters in Literacy and Elementary Education, but was unable to finish it due to lack of aid. While teaching FL, I have also tutored children privately and with a SES service.
Teaching Style
I love working with children of all ages. I feel that all children can learn and that even the most struggling learners can improve if given encouragement and success. I am easy going, creative, and patient when it comes to teaching. I find that my teaching style is based on what my students needs are, and because it is based on the different students I am blessed with each term my style is constantly evolving and changing. I feel that I do make a difference in the lives of the children I teach because of my drive and willingness to go the extra mile for each one of my students. Watching my student grow is the greatest gift as an educator and one of the reasons I continue to teach.
