I am currently a Biology Major at the University of Southern Maine. I have completed my degree requirements for my BS, I’m finishing up by taking an additional 9 credits this semester before walking for graduation in the Spring, May 2011. I have been a Mainstream Coach for the past 8 years as my daughter was entering middle/high school and I wanted to be on a school schedule for her. My teaching style is simple but effective. With mathematics and physics, the student retains an idea, with the added benefit of a solid intuition if he or she is fortunate enough to work through a problem using his or her's own insights. Guiding the student with the systematic offering of penetrating questions seems to be one of the most powerful methods to aid in the understanding of mathematical and physical phenomena. I have been a physics and mathematics tutor for my fellow students at the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario. Also, I served as a physics T.A. at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before I transferred to Waterloo.
