As part of my studies, I spent two consecutive semesters living in Russia and taking intensive Russian courses at Saratov State University, one of the top 50 research institutions in the Russian Federation. This time spent in Russia was crucial in attaining my current level of Russian. In Saratov, I typically spent 15-20 hours a week in private lessons with native teachers, specially trained to teach Russian as a foreign language.
