Experience Summary
I have recently graduated from UNLV with a BA in fine art with minors in art history and criminal justice. I have taken classes in education and am pursuing a master's degree in art history so I can teach on the college level. I have taught and tutored many individuals in art, English, and math. I was on the math team in high school and have gone to nationals for Science Olympiad so I can also tutor in the science related subjects. I volunteered at Arbor View High School art department in Las Vegas which helped me to gain a greater base on how to help students.
Teaching Style
From teaching and tutoring various children I have learned each child has a different understanding of the same subject. I have adapted to help each child I have worked with the achieve their individual understanding and success. Recently, I have helped tutor students in photography classes and I found many teachers push their own style onto the students. I have taken a determined stand against this type of teaching. Each student has a voice and I am willing to hear it.
