I´m a Spaniard girl living in Sonoma County for 2 months now. I love Spanish and I could help students or people interested in learning. I studied Telecommunications in Spain for 3 years, but my true passion is languages in general. I have never taught people to speak Spanish, but I have clear ideas how to teach, where to begin, cos is how I learned English, and I think is working great. In my high school I used to study English, Latin, Greek and Catalonian (one language we speak in the east of the peninsula which I could speak and write too). I would describe my teaching style in terms of the activity, belaying. Slack is given to the rope at times so that the climber may advance, or traverse, the face of the mountain. When the climber feels tired, or incapable, the rope needs tightening so the climber stays secure. If the climber falls from the face of the mountain the taught rope will prevent injury or possible demise. I tend to give my students slack when I feel they are advancing in terms of curriculum, yet once I notice their tendency to rest, or falter, I tighten my teaching approach by using more straightforward methods so that they are not confused, or do not wear themselves out with struggle.
