I have taught Elemetary Math for 8 years. Most of my experience was in fourth grade. I have excellent tips and strategies and have had successful teaching experiences. I have eight years experience in the public school classroom. The majority of my experience has been in fourth grade, but I have also had the opportunity to teach fifth and third grades. My classrooms have always been self-contained, meaning that I have taught all subjects. I am extremely familiar with the North Carolina teaching standards and requirements of elementary students. Students will be prepared for state testing as a result of my teaching. I believe that children learn best when actively involved and take every opportunity to make this possible.

I am currently a high school junior. That being said, I do not have a degree. However, I am in the top 20% of my high school class, I take only honors classes, and actually learn the material so I can tutor a student who needs help. I have four children of my own and home schooled each one through elementary school and some middle school. They returned to public school for middle school where I then provided tutoring for other classmates. I know sometimes math as well and other subjects come harder for one than the other so I realize the tutoring session needs to be geared toward that particular child. I love to teach by using the hands on technique. I will do whatever I can to see that the student grasp what is being taught.
