Though my primary study has been of a religious nature, I am very skilled in the other subjects of a quality educational foundation, as well. I am especially gifted at math as I scored a 730 in math on my SAT's. In 2003 I worked at Cedarcrest High School in Duvall as Special Education Assistant tutoring students with ADD and ADHD. I have also taught in a private kindergarten in Taiwan. I have had many positive experiences mentoring high school and middle school students in faith based organizations. In recent years I have served as a mentor, guide, and teacher in non-profit settings primarily investing in young adults between 18 and 30. During this time I have also mentored high school interns in my non-profit leadership roles. I love the learning process. As a graduate from Washington State University with a BA in English, creative writing, and a minor in communications with a washington state secondary teaching certificate I feel I have the knowledge and experience to help any student. I have tutored students in ESL, Spanish, English grammer and composition, guitar and poetry, primarily. After teaching in college and in secondary schools for the last 20 years I have had the opportunity to meet, know, and teach children and grownups of many varied backgrounds. During my undergraduate years at the University of Oregon, I spent several months in Mexico teaching English to children ranging in age from 6-15. During this time I perfected my Spanish as well, and wrote many papers in both Spanish and English. While pursuing my Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Tulsa, I taught Kumon math classes to children, and fellow Engineering students in electronics. I have kept up my French reading and speaking skills. Recently I have been intensively studying dance, especially salsa, Argentine tango, and African, and have been taking some ballet classes. I find that I am very effective at helping beginning dance students to develop their talents. I really enjoy teaching, I have kids that love completely different kinds of music and is fun to discover what they really like, what I do is really simple I just motivate my students teaching them what they really want to learn, I have to learn songs that they really like and show them how to play them in an easy way using music theory and harmony so they understand a lot more.
