Experience Summary
Though my primary study has been of a religious nature, I am very skilled in the other subjects of a quality educational foundation, as well. I am especially gifted at math as I scored a 730 in math on my SAT's.
In 2003 I worked at Cedarcrest High School in Duvall as Special Education Assistant tutoring students with ADD and ADHD. I have also taught in a private kindergarten in Taiwan. I have had many positive experiences mentoring high school and middle school students in faith based organizations.
In recent years I have served as a mentor, guide, and teacher in non-profit settings primarily investing in young adults between 18 and 30. During this time I have also mentored high school interns in my non-profit leadership roles.
Teaching Style
I love the learning process. My goal is to provide an environment for the student to grow to love the process of learning. I see myself as a guide there to encourage the student in certain directions and to lead him to specific discoveries. I know when to patiently wait for discovery to occur and when to offer additional help and guidance.
When learning is enjoyable and curiosity is created, the student finds the resolve, motivation, and determination necessary to continue learning. Hopefully, it will become a lifelong habit.
