I love working with children of all ages. I really like elementary age children. I have a hands-on approach to education. I want kids to get their hands into activities so that they may retain things longer. Now I do realize that not every student is hands-on. A graduate of Florida State University, I initially started out teaching children and their parents about good eating habits at the Health Dept. I wanted to partake in the school system, so I began teaching as a Title 1 teacher. I was teaching small groups of individuals that needed some extra encouragement to thrive in the general education class. I was a Resource Teacher and wokred in the Innovation School of Execellence. I was Executive Director at a Christian Academy in Live Oak, Florida.
