I like to get to know the child, what they are having trouble with, and what their homework and study habits are. Throughout my 12 years of schooling Math has been one of my stronger subjects. I also took a two year accounting course outside of my school. I feel this qualifies me to help children out there that struggle with math. I have found that most children with reading difficulties learn by reading well-written stories and by writing from their own experiences. I recently graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Civil Engineering in December 2009, which has given me a very strong mathematical background.
