Experience Summary
I am a home-schooling mom who has been tutoring mathematics for over ten years. I began tutoring math while still in high school. In college, I facilitated study groups and 1-on-1 tutoring sessions. I graduated with a BA in Mathematics with a GPA of 3.19. I am a member of the Math Honor Society Pi Mu Epsilon. I have spent the last year teaching math through an Adult Education program, where I have helped dozens of people get past there fear of math and move into understanding. I have experience working with a wide spectrum of learning styles and disabilities.
Teaching Style
I believe that everyone posses the ability to learn and that no two people learn exactly the same way.
I present mathematical concepts in a way that will arouse curiosity and interest in the subject in a way that is unusual, new or otherwise fascinating for each individual student.
I am patient, easy going and compassionate.
I believe that all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate structure in their surroundings and learning experiences.
