Throughout my 12 years of schooling Math has been one of my stronger subjects. I also took a two year accounting course outside of my school. I feel this qualifies me to help children out there that struggle with math. It would be great to start with younger children to improve their knowledge and study skills to get the grades they want to see on their report card. I have found that most children with reading difficulties learn by reading well-written stories and by writing from their own experiences. However, they also have to have the necessary tools and knowledge to do so, and that is where phonics comes in. I recently graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Civil Engineering in December 2009, which has given me a very strong mathematical background.
