My teaching style varies according to the different areas of need in each child. No one child is the same, and they all learn in different manners. I approach the student with a safe and clean environment in which they feel the most comfortable learning. A method that works best for them and a friendly approach that makes them understand I care about them and am there to help. I keep in mind that every child has a different way in which to reach goals, so I provide each child with an individualized goal sheet. Education is very important to me. Just recently, I have graduated with honors and magna cum laude from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. My undergraduate GPA in college was 3.95 and my High School GPA was a 3.98. In the past four years, I have taught Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry laboratory. I have also tutored students in chemistry and statistics in the past. Math and science are areas that I am very passionate about. I have experience working as an instructional aide at Kofa High School from 10/03-5/05. Motivated children that had mental and behavioral problems. Tutored teenagers with school work and helped out teachers to grade homework. (Ages 15-18) I enjoy teaching children especially teenagers. I enjoy setting a positve role model for them and for them to help each other on math subjects, reading, etc. I have volunteer respite program when I worked at Arizonas Children Association and have experience working as social worker in Behavioral health.
