A Little Bit About Me...

Learning should be both meaningful and fun. I have work experience with children of all ages and mental capacities. I worked at a facility called St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children, as a recreation therapist. While there, I worked with special needs children and designed fun/educational programs for them. I have also volunteered at a local library coordinating "craft time" for toddlers. My goal is to help the student become stronger and more confident in the area that they need help. This is why I try to get to know people to better understand how to tutor them.
Education is very important to me. Just recently, I have graduated with honors and magna cum laude from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. I enjoy teaching children especially teenagers. I enjoy setting a positve role model for them and for them to help each other on math subjects, reading, etc. I have volunteer respite program when I worked at Arizonas Children Association and have experience working as social worker in Behavioral health.
