I approach teaching in a way that is very versatile and I am willing to adapt to accommodate a variety of learning styles. In general however I tend to back up and work on the material that the student already is familiar and comfortable with. Once some review on the known material has been done I like to begin moving toward the material that is currently being reviewed. The length of time spent in the "review phase" is completely dependent on the student's current situation. Some situations might require a mere problem or two in this phase, while others might require additional time understanding the fundamentals before moving to the more complex current problems.

I began my teaching experience during college by first working as a teacher’s aide, after which I transitioned into substitute teaching, tutoring and after school care. Eventually I graduated and worked in elementary education as a teacher. I chose to continue my education and become an engineer. Since then, I have continued to volunteer through tutoring, Kiwanis, organizing a math competition for the schools within a five county region (MATHCOUNTS) and occasionally reading for afterschool programs.

I am a Harvard graduate who has always sought academic excellence. I have a bachelor degree in Government and a secondary degree in Economics. I have a lot of experience in research and writing as my first career after college involved business planning. I have worked as a tutor for college freshmen and I ran a non-profit summer tutoring program teaching middle school students math, science, English, and history.
