My first academic teaching experience started in the fifth grade, when my teacher asked me to help my classmates after school. Slowly my love of teaching and helping my classmates grew. Later I was asked to give lessons to my classmates during school hours. I started my own tutoring service for school children in my college days. During my Ph.D. program, I taught several undergraduate and graduate courses in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I have earned my Bachelor's and master's degrees in biochemistry and my PhD is in Biochmeistry-Genetics. I love teaching and enjoy empowering the students to get involved in the subjects they learn about.

I have earned two bachelor degrees;a BA in Psychology and a BA in Child Development. I also have an AA in General Studies with the focus on Early Childhood Education. I have been a director of a preschool for 4 years. I have taught in 2 preschools. I have tutored children, below the average reading level, in grades 1-6. I was the Site Supervisor in an elementary age after-school program.I have an American Sign Language certificate and passing scores on the CBEST (California Basic Edcuational Skills Test).

Most of my career experience has been in News-Editorial and creative writing. In college I earned a degree in Applied Communications where I learned the art of effective communcation, through the mediums of writing, speaking and non verbal communication.
