Dyslexia is one of my top subjects! As an Intervention Specialist of 18 years, my specialization is the intervention of reading disabilities and dyslexia with students in grades K-12. I have completed Basic and Advanced courses through the Orton Gillingham Academy and am certified as a classroom teacher with over 300 hours of students instructional time using the Orton Gillingham method of instruction.
For the past 18 years I have provided special education services to students in grades K-12. After further specializing in the intervention of reading disabilities and dyslexia, I exclusively instruct students using the Orton Gillingham Method. My experience ranges from working with kindergarten students, to high school students, who are preparing for post secondary education. My background in foreign language and linguistics (Russian) has prepared me to work successfully with students, who are English language learners or have identified needs in Speech and Language.
After completion of the Basic and Advanced courses through Orton Gillingham Academy, I completed a 50 hour practicum under the supervision of an Orton Gillingham Fellow, with continuing certification through the Academy in progress.
