I have earned a BA from Calvin College which has certified me to teach at the k-8 levels in social studies and liberal arts and have earned a Masters degree in Counseling Education (certified K-12)which has given me the ability to work wtih students who are difficult to motivate and achieve. During my years, I have gained a wonderful rapport with students of all levels (K-12) while working at Huntington Learning Center. My experience is with students of diversity in areas of culture, ethnicity, social, and a wide range of ability.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am an innate musician. I've been performing, singing, and playing piano and flute since elementary school and have always adored it. My music experience began with performance where many people from high school through college encouraged me to pursue it professionally. I love to teach, to be of service, to share my natural musicality with choirs, children's choirs, and private students. I finished my B.M. degree and served as pianist, organist, flutist, conductor, singer, choir director in several churches. I've also had private voice students. I also have a Certificate of Completion from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, CA.

A Little Bit About Me...

I hold high expectations for all my students to achieve the best that they can do. I am aware that there are various learning styles in the classroom, especially with first grade! I have experience in using Brain Gym, Multiple Intelligences, and utilize the various learning styles into my lesson plans. I am patient, kind, and yet firm in my discipline. A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy teaching and using a variety of educational methods to reach students. Some students respond much better to one-on-one teaching methods than they do in a larger class environment. I have had many successful tutoring experiences in the past with a variety of students (even those classified as having learning disabilities).
I currently work and teach at the International School of Tegucigalpa. I am a high school world history, psychology and comparative government. I have also taught economics at the high school level. I have tutored students in Language Arts at the high school and middle school letters. I am also literate in Spanish.
