Elementary Math is one of my top subjects!

I am currently enrolled in highschool but I tutored many of my cousins for the past several years so I'm great with young kids! I don't have any proper work experience but I'm hoping this will be my first.I have volunteered at many elementary schools and I can speak fluent Hindi and Bengali. Graduate student looking to help students achieve their goals!

I have tutored children off and on since I was in high school. More recently, my time has been spent volunteering with The Giving Tree, where I tutored inner-city children after school and helped organize activities (museums, zoo, etc.) on the weekends. I am currently in the final stages of my dissertation for a doctorate in psychology, so I am always actively learning, too. I worked for one year at the TLC, or Teaching Learning Center, where upper classmen would tutor other students taking courses they had already taken and done quite well in. I tutored mostly computer courses (programming, excel, etc), but there were also days when I was asked to tutor Calculus.

I have always ended up in leadership positions which gives me the opportunity to teach. I generally supervise adults and in this role act as teacher for processes, procedures, rules and general good practices. I am a great learner, which I think makes for a great teacher because I want to be sure that whomever I am working with finds the excitement in really understanding a topic.
