I am proficient in tutoring English and any Language Arts area. I am also a journalist in my career, and would love to help anyone who is needing a little push. I am a mother to a 1st grader and my husband attends law school. I am very active in Lubbock ISD and am room mom for my daughter's class. I am also a contributing writer in my spare time. Teaching style varies by student and by subject, and even varies according to my level of skill in the subject matter. I have been told that I make things that are confusing or hard to understand easy, and I love that 'I see' look in a student's eyes. As a student I was always helping my friends and brothers with their school work, especially math. While in graduate school working on my Masters degree I tutored for the athletic department and even tutored some of my classmates who were college professors working on their PhD's.
