My comments on tutoring Hebrew : 22 years of living in Israel, BA in Hebrew and Jewish studies

I am a vibrant and enthusiastic ESL instructor with 16 years of experience. I received an MA in TESOL from Monash University (Australia) in 2001 and since then have taught English as a Second Language to numerous groups of very diverse backgrounds and various levels, from beginners to high intermediate to advanced,in Australia, Israel and the US. I hold a BA in Hebrew and Jewish studies as well, and taught Hebrew and Tanach in various Jewish schools in Melbourne. My expertise includes teaching English for Academic purposes at the university, Technical and Business English at Jerusalem College of Technology and private institutes. I also taught speaking skills to adults at TAFE and a number of institutes and companies in Israel.

More About This Tutor...

Most of my primary education experience involved me in music. I played the piano for 16 years, cello for 9 and self taught the violin and some other instruments. I prefer tutoring with stringed instruments. I then transitioned to sports like tennis and soccer. In college, after changing degrees a couple times, I graduated with a BS in Biology, minored in Chemistry with a Pre-Med certificate. Currently I am working on my own to sell patents with an Israeli scientist. On the side, I study Russian and Hebrew.
I have private tutored almost all throughout college, mostly because I had many international friends in desperate need for English help. I taught English in Korea; the first 5 months being beginner English (to preschool to fourth graders) and the last 7 months I taught actual subjects children in America learn but at advanced levels (from 3rd grade to late middle school).
