I believe everyone has a gift from God. My gift is working with children, it brings joy and peace to my heart.I have a passion for working with children who really can not help themselves because they are either lost, not motivated, or scared.I just want to be an inspiration in their lives.
I am very patient and humble young lady. No child is the same as another, so therefore; they are unique in their very own way. I love working with people whether they are adults or children. I have a desire for helping anyone achieve their goal for life. I know how important it is to assist others because I support disabled and special needs individuals, so I have to teach them how to be self sufficient, according to their level of understanding. What I have discovered about myself is that I learn differently from other people. I am the kind of person who prefers to set aside that assembly instruction manual and put together that Christmas toy by laying out the pieces in an orderly fashion. There is so much pleasure in problem solving. I learn by asking myself questions. I have little patience for mundane drills and memorization if they can be avoided. Each child is different. It is meaningless to say that a child is intelligent. There are many kinds of intelligences. Some children are more intelligent in memorization. Others are intelligent in solving problems. It is best to discover the child's strengths and weaknesses and adapt a program to each and every child.

I have earned a PhD in philosophy from the University of Virginia, and taught at the university level at Virginia Tech, UVA, Hampden-Sydney College, West Point, and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke for ten years. During that time, I have taught philosophy, logic (including test prep for the GRE and LSAT), and composition. A chemistry minor in college, I am also proficient in basic science and mathematics. I have tutored in composition, algebra, logic, chemistry, and philosophy.
