What I have discovered about myself is that I learn differently from other people. I am the kind of person who prefers to set aside that assembly instruction manual and put together that Christmas toy by laying out the pieces in an orderly fashion. There is so much pleasure in problem solving. I learn by asking myself questions. I have little patience for mundane drills and memorization if they can be avoided. Each child is different. It is meaningless to say that a child is intelligent. There are many kinds of intelligences. Some children are more intelligent in memorization. Others are intelligent in solving problems. As a USC graduate, I have a passion to teach and help other students to achieve their academic goals. Tutoring is my passion and as an undergraduate, I found my self always walking towards students if I noticed that they needed some help. I was not paid to do this until one of my professors advised my to work as a paid tutor. I worked a s tutor in finance, financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting and intermediate accounting 1 and 2. Managerial accounting had one of the lowest pass rates but after i took over, the scales turned around. I also worked as a supplemental instructor for managerial accounting. I am currently studying for my CPA.
