My comments on tutoring Sign Language : Studying to become a sign language interpreter. Set to graduate this year

Sign language interpreter is what I am getting my college degree in. Am still learning but I do know a lot, as learning a new language takes a while. Sign language is something that I really enjoy. I've interpreter things from work, nothing big but still experience. I've completed ASL 1-4. Almost done with my degree as a sign language interpreter.

Sign Language is one of my top subjects! I have had 5 years experience using Sign language in various settings including jobs and volunteer services such as: -Job Coach. -Interpreter. -Language Facilitator. -Teacher. -Tutor.

Since 2010 I have been involved with various jobs teaching, interpreting and using American Sign Language. I began an Interpreter Training Program at Nashville State Community College. After the first year of the program, I decided to move to a location where many Deaf people were and immersed myself in the language. I got a job as a job coach specifically working with Deaf and hard of hearing individuals. I also began volunteering as an interpreter at a local church. Teaching is not something I had initially aspired to but found I am a teacher and motivator by nature.
