I aspire to be an educator, as defined above. While I believe in the content of the sciences, I am interested in evoking the thought process to utilize the scientific method as a problem solving technique applicable to all areas of life. Prior to my second career in the field of service to at-risk senior citizens, I taught English for four years at Westport High School. Following the reduction in force made necessary by budgetary constraints, I taught for ten years at the Crystal Springs School in Assonet, MA as a Special Needs teacher. While rewarding, I missed the challenge of more literary pursuits and began teaching evening classes at a local communuity-based organization.
