Having over a decade of teaching and tutoring experience, I have worked in both the public and private sector. A lot of experience in English as well as vocals, took music theory in high school as well as graphic and web design, i am good at basic math and algebra, Elementary education is also a strong suit. A Little Bit About Me...

To teach is to "impart knowledge or skill to somebody by instruction or example" while education is defined as "to develop mentally, morally, or aesthetically especially by instruction". I aspire to be an educator, as defined above. While I believe in the content of the sciences, I am interested in evoking the thought process to utilize the scientific method as a problem solving technique applicable to all areas of life. Prior to my second career in the field of service to at-risk senior citizens, I taught English for four years at Westport High School. Following the reduction in force made necessary by budgetary constraints, I taught for ten years at the Crystal Springs School in Assonet, MA as a Special Needs teacher. While rewarding, I missed the challenge of more literary pursuits and began teaching evening classes at a local communuity-based organization. My tutoring experience had its inception in that setting.
