My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : During my masters program in Reading and Curriculum Instruction, I spent many hours learning and perfecting the art of elementary phonics.

I have worked with children in a variety of settings and ages over the past 25 years: church camp counselor, gymnastics coach, dance instructor, theater, forensics judge, tutor, and classroom teacher. These experiences have both shaped my style of teaching and equipped me with a broad range of skills needed to connect with, instruct, and inspire children. My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : I have worked with students in phonics during tutoring sessions and when teaching at school.

I enjoy using a hands-on approach when it suits the needs of my students. I enjoy playing games, showing short learning videos, singing songs, scaffolding strategies with my students.

A Little Bit About Me...

I was an exceptionally driven high school student, taking the most difficult schedule my small private school would offer. My course work included AP calculus and AP US government, on both exams I received good marks. In college I studied a wide variety of classes in pursuit of a degree in the liberal arts.
