A Little Bit About Me...

I am an elementary school teacher in the Northern Virginia area and have been tutoring students for the past 2 years. I love my job and would not change it for the world. Working with kids every day is something that I not only enjoy, but helps me as well. I learn something new every day. Being a teacher has taught me that all students learn in a different way and you have to address the needs of individual children.
Different children learn in different ways. Some are visual learners, some are auditory learners and some are kinesthetic learners. I like teaching in whatever way best connects with the student.

I spent my undergraduate career preparing to enter Veterinary School. I love the sciences and I thought this was what I wanted to do. After graduation, however, I discovered that this was not the path I was meant to take; I was meant to pass on my love of learning and teach.
