I like to teach using a hands-on approach. I believe the best way to learn is to do or at least attempt to do. I really find satisfaction when I see the “light bulb” go off and there is a glimmer if understanding in the eyes of my pupil.
For the past 10 years I have been teaching a wide variety of students ranging in age from their 80’s to 8. I obtained my BS in Information Technology which gives me a vast knowledge of computer applications, networking, and technical communications. I have also worked in a higher academic institution and have extensive knowledge of grammatical skills as well as different formats for composing research papers. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a firm believer that everyone learns in a different way, given different brain functioning, personality etc. Each child has different levels of attention, and differing strengths and weaknesses, which need to be pinpointed. My approach is very loving and casual, and I always can find a way to interject fun, especially when the learning is away from the formal classroom. I have helped extensively with my nephew's progress in the past, and believe that I am very intuitive regarding each child's abilities and sensitivities. In a tutoring setting, it is especially important that the child views this as fun and helpful toward his success, so that it continues to be something to look forward to.
