I took Special Education courses to especially help with people struggling with reading skills. Since reading is such a necessary skill, I learned different techniques, such as Orton-Gillingham Phonetic Approach, Reading Recovery, and Whole Language Approach. I learned to incorporate not only phonics, but also 250 must-know sight words, context clues, and colr-codded words to help with reading difficulties.
