Experience Summary
In 2011 to 2012 I worked as a lead tutor for Academic Achievers in Muncie. My core focus was to improve writing skills. I would help students organize their thoughts into a structured document, and on occasion I would help build their vocabulary with five words of the week. Currently, I work at the Muncie Children's Museum where I create programs for children to exercise their motor and critical thinking skills in the visual arts and music.
Teaching Style
I teach according to the student's learning style. I acknowledge that all students learn differently, and I excel at catering to visual, aural, and kinesthetic needs of students.
My Hobbies
Writing, drawing, bike rides, and video games.
Other Comments
Although my degree is in general studies, my core focus was music and music education. In these classes I was required to make lesson plans and participate inin teaching simulations where I taught middle school and students and my classmates. I recieved documented critiques from my professors that highlighted my strength in keeping the class engaged and managing a positive learnibg environment.
