My tutoring experience has begun in college, when I would assist with Japanese and math lessons between classes and the campus job. I have 28 years of teaching experience in math - 4 years on the high-school level and 24 years on the college level. I have also done a lot of tutoring. Most students who have given me a chance to help them and have done their part have succeeded. Many students have told me that after I had the chance to help them, they understood math for the first time. Many students have told me that before I helped them that they hated math. I am very adaptive to students learning style. I usually spend the first ten minutes of our first meeting figuring out what the student is struggling with and how to best meet their needs. I try to teach students more how to think analytical more so then just solving problems because it is more beneficial to the student.
