I have always endeavored to excel academically and so sought after and received a top-level education at Duke University. Having a love of language and having a desire to be able to teach at all levels, I obtained an MA in English from the UNC-G. I have had 43 years of teaching and tutoring at all levels, elementary through college. I have taught high school English, college English, SAT Prep, and GRE Prep---both the verbal and the math (I scored almost 800 on the math section). The schools told me my son would never learn to read or write. He is my only child out of four who reads lengthy books for pleasure. Everyone has a different style of learning.
