I have always been interested in teaching others, in particular, teaching children with special needs. The majority of my experience teaching is teaching children with special needs including many children with autism. A Little Bit About Me...

One of the first graduates of a dual degree program from Lesley College(www.lesley.edu),I received a BS/MEd in Early Childhood Education specializing in Early Intervention in 1999. Beginning in June of 1999, I raised my three children full-time. During that time, I worked part-time as a Therapeutic Mentor for PSC of Maine(www.provcorp.com). PSC is a behavioral health agency that serves at-risk school-aged children and their families. Soon after arriving in NC in 2008, I obtained my Birth-K teaching lisence and, in 2009, began teaching full-time for the More-at-Four Pre-K program(www.darecountyschoolsonline). A Little Bit About Me...

I am eager to get back to teaching. I love to work with children and I know it is a gift from above. I use many hands on techniques to help my students learn. I also observe my students to see what technique of teaching reaches them best. I use the method that is needed.
