I have loved working with children since I was a teenager. Especially with my experience with children with special needs, I believe all children can learn and I want to help all children have academic success. I firmly believe that all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate instruction and a positive environment. A Little Bit About Me...

One of the first graduates of a dual degree program from Lesley College(www.lesley.edu),I received a BS/MEd in Early Childhood Education specializing in Early Intervention in 1999. Beginning in June of 1999, I raised my three children full-time. During that time, I worked part-time as a Therapeutic Mentor for PSC of Maine(www.provcorp.com). PSC is a behavioral health agency that serves at-risk school-aged children and their families. Soon after arriving in NC in 2008, I obtained my Birth-K teaching lisence and, in 2009, began teaching full-time for the More-at-Four Pre-K program(www.darecountyschoolsonline). I am returning to Maine with my family in July of 2011, as my husband is retiring from the USCG after 20 years of service.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am eager to get back to teaching. I love to work with children and I know it is a gift from above. I use many hands on techniques to help my students learn. I also observe my students to see what technique of teaching reaches them best. I use the method that is needed.
After, graduation I was an Ed Tech III. Assisting in reading and math. From there I went on to teach Kindergarten at Coastal Christian School in Waldoboro. I taught there for 7 years. During that time I tutored many students in math and reading after school hours. I am currently working on the endorsement 020.
