A Little Bit About Me...

In graduate school, I developed a management style, Egalitarian Leadership. The faculty encouraged me to submit my paper to Harvard Business School. Currently, I am writing a middle school age novel. Prior to this, I wrote a newspaper column for two years in California. I also score state proficiency tests for Pearson Educational Measurement, K-12.
It is my experience that an instructor delivers more learning when a student has an interest in the subject. "Inspire rather than require," has far greater efficacy in delivering information. I tend to make it fun, interesting and encourage student participation and feedback. Reward, a basic human desire, engenders craving for learning. I have learned to apply critical thinking via my education throughout my previous career in the hotel industry. I was a member of Toast Masters for a year and learned valuable communication skills and the ability to speak with precision and confidence. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been professionally teaching for almost 30 years whether it be swimming to five year olds or flying to heads of aviation organizations. Few things give greater satisfaction than sharing what I have learned with others and watching them grow as they learn.
