A Little Bit About Me...

In graduate school, I developed a management style, Egalitarian Leadership. The faculty encouraged me to submit my paper to Harvard Business School. Currently, I am writing a middle school age novel. Prior to this, I wrote a newspaper column for two years in California. I also score state proficiency tests for Pearson Educational Measurement, K-12.
It is my experience that an instructor delivers more learning when a student has an interest in the subject. "Inspire rather than require," has far greater efficacy in delivering information. I tend to make it fun, interesting and encourage student participation and feedback. Reward, a basic human desire, engenders craving for learning. Interaction prevents or indicates "going too fast" or overwhelming them--"the eyes" are engaged or indicate "shut-down". A Little Bit About Me...

I love to teach, and I believe my teaching style is very laid back. I like to allow my students to attempt things and try to figure it out with the information I provide. That way I know they are grasping the concepts. That is more important to me then speeding through a course just to get things done. I would be a failure if one of my students left my course not knowing exactly what they were doing.
