I believe students will always be frustrated till they learn the material and if you make it interesting and related to them personally it tends to elivate the frustration and to feel more comfortable with the material. I am presently looking at obtaining my teaching certificate to teach elementary school at one point and time. My father's family is spanish so I speak a some. I am not fully fluent.
I have always had an interest in teaching. I graduated from college with my AA while working with the University of Michigan Department of Hospital Finance Training. A Little Bit About Me...

My style of teaching is one that strives to bring an overall understanding of the importance and relevance of the subject at hand. I believe children, as well as all people, learn much better and have much greater retention when they understand the bigger picture involved and understand why it is important to learn the subject at hand. I believe in relating the topics to something the pupil can understand and therefore grasp. One of my greatest teachers was a chemistry professor who was able to explain a complicated chemistry concept in terms of a McDonald's Happy Meal. It was something we all could relate to and understand. Furthermore, if I can relate why learning the particular topic is important, then I believe the child will become excited and be much more apt to retain and retell the information to others. I have tutored many years in Calif., but have not done so since arriving in Madison, TN. I have Canadian credentials, but the JD enabled me to quickly acquire a college position in Nashville. I taught English, which is my major from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. I know I am an excellent tutor, having taken several children from D's & F's to B's and A's.
