A Little Bit About Me...

I am the second eldest of 6 children with a 20 year gap from the youngest to the eldest. They have taught me patience, understanding, adaptability, and creativity. I love teaching and helping children understand that math isn't just for nerds - math can be fun and above all - easy. I am a firm believer that a solid foundation in mathematics helps build reasoning skills, the ability to include logic in making decisions, and team-work. My goal is to bring back mathematics as another achievement in student's lives, and to remove the idea that math is a trend or something for "Smart kids" to do. My entire life has been surrounded by both music and technology and I'm looking to share that with my students. In terms of musical instruction, though the particular curriculum I use varies from student from student, I am a firm believer in first connecting to music they already know and using that as a starting point to get them invested in the music.
