My comments on tutoring TOEFL : I have over 15 years of tutoring and teaching experience, and one of the subjects I teach is English as a Second Language. I was a Language Arts/Literature/English teacher in Saint Joseph School in Dominican Republic; a tutor for the Brigham Young University Language Center for students that were in the English as a International Language Program; have taught TOEFL preparation classes, and conversational English. I have always enjoyed teaching and helping others to learn. I don't believe in "I can't do it" or "I can't learn". I am extremely flexible with my teaching style. I do not believe in the "one size fits all" approach that seems to be popular in text books and structured lesson plans.
