My comments on tutoring Poetry : I love writing poetry and truly enjoy reading poetry as well.I have experience in writing my own poetry for the stage as well as other creative writing outlets. I would love to help someone find their voice within the realms of poetic fodder and see just how creative they don't even know they are! :)

I have my A.A. degree in Theatre and Communications and will be receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Film Studies in December of 2012. I have experience with children ranging from grades K-12th. I have been a Teacher's Aide since 2004 and a Summer Counselor since 2006. I am also bilingual and although it is not on my list for tutor availability, I do have experience in the language barriers concerning English and the Spanish language. I am Cuban American and wouldn't trade that for the world. It allows me to enjoy the cultures around me as well as given me a thirst to explore new ones. I began teaching at Shepard Academy. I taught Social Studies to middle and high school students. Shepard was a small private school specializing in meeting the needs of students who had a variety of learning challenges. Many were diagnosed with ADHD or ADD. The thing I love most about teaching is opening up someones eyes to something new and seeing the "wow" look on their faces. Sometimes certain subject matter is not always easy for a person to learn.
