I love teaching and working with all children. I believe each child has a different learning style and the tutor must identify it and use it to help the child better absorb and retain the information for complete comprehension and not just test regurgitation. I am very patient and understanding that a lesson might have to be taught many different ways for the student to learn. My aim is to help the student to understand the underline concepts to think on there own on complex topics. I always set very high goals for my students so they can achieve them and more.
From elementary school to college I have loved education and learning which has been exemplified by my gifted and honors status. My teaching style is to guide the student to find the answers for himself rather than outright giving it away. I try to teach the method of discovery and critical thinking the allows the student to excel. I love seeing students "getting it". the approach is different with each students but the goal is the same. -helping the student suceed and growing in the learning process.
I attended a liberal arts college to give myself a totality of learned and a well rounded education. I majored in Music performance with a minor in math. In addition I worked in the biology labs gaining experience in the sciences. I graduated with honors ( cum Laude)
