I was a substitute teacher for many years on the elementary and secondary levels. In 1997 I went back to work full-time as a special education teacher in a Christian school. I taught reading, English grammar and composition (grades 3-11), study skills, English, American, and world literature, and one year of geography. I have been instructed in the Wilson method of teaching reading and find it really helps students who are dyslexic or having problems learning to read.
