Four and on half of these years were spent in the ELL Program helping Hispanic students to incorporate their use of the English Language in their classroom academics. I have the ability to speak Spanish fluently, as well as read and write it. If they can't figure the problem out, I give them a similar example to follow and let them use that problem as a model. There is normally a protocol or steps to follow in math.
